Activities in Winter

Winter season starts as early as in November in the northernmost Finland in Lapland and ends in April. Winter in southern Finland is shorter from January to end of March. High seasons in Lapland are from mid-December to the beginning of January and again in February. Northern lights can be seen from the end of August to the end of March-early April.

Most popular activities on snow: huskies, reindeer, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fatbiking and in southern Finland also tour skating.

Activities in Summer & Autumn

Summer and autumn season starts in May and ends in October. In summer you can take long round trips by train, bus or own car or rent a cabin as a base camp and take activities from there. Temperatures vary from +15 to +32 degrees of celcius. Bookings can be made at short notice. 

Most popular activities: hiking, cycling, canoeing, rowing, sauna and swimming, picking berries and mushrooms, cruises on lake and wildlife observation.
