Trip to Ranua Wildlife Park
This guided trip to the famous Ranua Wildlife Park will give you great insight and the opportunity to see and learn about all the Arctic animals, from Polar bears and Arctic foxes to wild boars and otters.
After being picked up and given warm clothing (if needed), your guide will drive you through the Lapland nature to Ranua Wildlife Park. The one-hour drive to Ranua will already give you a chance to enjoy the landscapes of Lapland and try to spot some local wildlife along the way - it is not unusual to see reindeer or moose along the road. As you are heading to your destination, your guide will answer any questions that you may have about Finland and Lapland to the best of their knowledge.
At the wildlife park, you can follow the 2.5-kilometres wooden boardwalks through the forest where you get to see all the Arctic animals in one place. This is a rare opportunity to meet the local animals that reside in Lapland and other parts of the Arctic. As you walk around the park, your guide will share with you their knowledge of the animals and other aspects of life in Lapland.
The animals you can spot in Ranua Wildlife Park include polar bear, brown bear (not in wintertime though, as they are hibernating), predatory birds, owls, wild boars, musk oxen, otters, Arctic foxes, wolves, wild reindeer, wolverines, moose, and many others!
At the end of the tour, you will enjoy a nice buffet lunch at the restaurant before returning to Rovaniemi with a great insight into Arctic wildlife and a memory full of lovely animal pictures!
In all our activities, our groups are limited to 8 people maximum (Note: At the Ranua Wildlife Park can be more people as the tours are public). It is very important for us to provide you with the best experience possible, and avoid mass tourism. This way, your guide will know you better and will be able to address all your needs and answer your questions. As we usually say - the smaller the group, the bigger the experience!
