What a perfect husky adventure in North-Eastern Finland. Full pension and 3 days of mushing.

The group of 5 participants at the maximum will be picked up by car from Kuusamo. Next morning after breakfast you will learn how to handle the dogs and the sledge and after lunch, you are ready to harness the dogs and take a trial husky safari of 10km. Next morning you will leave for an overnight safari and lead your husky team through the winter wonderland while enjoying the silence and breathtaking landscapes! The real highlight of this trip is overnighting in an original, rustic, wilderness cabin.  

Each participant has her/his own team of sled dogs.

         HUSKY SLEDDING
        *On husky safaris everybody drives their own dog team (3–6 dogs)
        *No experience in dog sledding is necessary, but a reasonable level of fitness and good balance are necessary. You should also be prepared for cold weather and spending long hours outdoors.
        *For the two-day safari a small backpack (max. 40 l) can be brought on the sled. The rest of your luggage will remain at the base camp.
        *The minimum age is 15 years.

         TRAVEL
        Flights are not included in the tour price.
          
         Arrival information
        The joining point for this trip is         Kuusamo airport.
        The transfer time from Kuusamo to the kennel is approximately 1,5 hours.

         Departure information
        At the end of the tour, a transfer is organized back to Kuusamo airport.

         Travel by bus and train
        Upon arrival it is possible take a train from Helsinki to Oulu, followed by a bus from Oulu to Kuusamo. The same applies for the return trip to Helsinki.

         PAYMENT
        Deposit: 20 % of total amount will be charged at the time of booking.
        Full payment: Due 14 days before the departure. The invoice for full payment will be sent by email.  


        NOTES
        We highly recommend purchasing         travel insurance that includes cancellation coverage.
                 The tour is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility.
        We reserve the right to change the itinerary due to weather or snow conditions.
