Go in search of the Northern Lights and meet the reindeer! Enjoy the silence of Porovaara, the atmospheric glow of the campfire and the fun company of our reindeer.

A silent and peaceful electric snowmobile safari deep into the forest is one of the best ways to enjoy Lapland's winter nature. The magical, snowy nature of Lapland speaks to you with its beauty and silence. 

Come with us! Porovaara is in complete privacy, surrounded by dozens of square kilometres of almost untouched nature. 

After the safari, you will get to feed our reindeer and get to know them with your guide. The area is our reindeer pasture, the reindeer's natural habitat, so you will also see the reindeer in the wild.

Porovaara is ideal for the aurora borealis seeker in Rovaniemi. It is far enough away from the city's light pollution. You will experience the Northern Lights are at their most enchanting.

Have you heard how a Lappish folktale explains the birth of the Northern Lights? The Northern Lights are caused by a mysterious firefox, whose tail strikes fire against the trees as a fox runs through the woods. Perhaps the fox will run in Porovaara during our safari...

What's included?

    Exclusions
      Please note
        • As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, their visibility is not guaranteed.
        • The minimum number of participants required for this activity is two paying adults.
        • This activity depends on snow. If the snowmobile tour is cancelled because of the lack of snow in early winter (December) or late spring, the refund is 100%.
        • Duration of 3 hours includes the transport time needed to arrive to our location and to return to the pick-up place.
        • Driver must be at least 18 years old with a driving license, which is valid in Finland.
        • You are not allowed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while driving.
        • 2 people (from the same family or group) get on one snowmobile. Drivers are changed halfway through the ride if necessary.
        • The guide is followed by a sleigh where the children under 12 years old can go.
        • You need to bring suitable underwear, e.g. a warm layer.
        • You can take your camera and phone along for the ride.
