 Roller coaster of nature! Rafting is a wild experience. The joy of overcoming a challenge together and conquering the best rafting route of southern Finland.

River rafting is one of the most exciting adventures provided by nature. The best rafting route in southern Finland again starts from the rapid of Ahvionkoski, floats through the milder waters of Kultaankoski and ends up in Pernoonkoski in Kotka. During the warm water season, you may even swim safely in Kultaankoski.

Ahvionkoski is an area, in which Kymijoki is divided into a river delta and into 3 river beds flowing through the area. You will take the main bed, which is flowing towards the biggest rapid of the area called Martinkoski. The vertical drop is 2,5m and river classification I-II.

Kultaankoski is a water area floating free, whose vertical drop is 1,5m and river classification I. There you have a chance to swim during the warm water season.

Pernoonkoski is the largest rapid area floating free with the highest vertical drop in southern Finland. It is 1,2km long and located in Kotka. You will raft river radips called Torninvirta, Karkuuskoski and Sittaränni. If the surface of the water is low Its, Tukki ränni is compensated with Uittoränni. The vertical drop of the rapid area is 5m and river classification from I to II+.    

After getting the rafting gear you will be transported to the river. You will get safety instructions and you will learn to use the raft. Altogether you will be rafting five rapids before arriving in the Pernoonkoski pool and getting transported back to the starting point.

          Preferably no jeans for river rafting, shorts or jogging suit even a swimsuit works best

          Second set of clothes as you will become wet
