After being picked up at your accommodation and changing into appropriate clothes, your professional guide will drive you to the Posio area about 100 km away from Rovaniemi. The snowy scenery of Korouma Canyon provides the opportunity for winter hiking surrounded by beautiful and unforgettable views. Korouoma Canyon is one of the largest natural attractions that Lapland has to offer. It is a bedrock fracture zone which is millions of years old.

The Korouoma Canyon is home to a diverse range of animal species, such as deer, wild hare, foxes, and golden eagles.  Occasionally, one can spot enthusiastic ice climbers ascending the frozen waterfalls despite the frigid weather. Along the Koronjää trail, one can admire three of the largest and most stunning frozen waterfalls in Korouoma.

The Korouoma area is a perfect destination for a day tour, with numerous lean-to shelters with campfire spots available in the area.  A campfire break with snacks is included to keep you warm and energised throughout the day.

      • This product operates rain or shine, except in the case of extreme weather events like really cold ( more than -25 ) degrees. 
      • Please note, that Korouoma canyon is located 120 kilometers away from Rovaniemi, 1,5 hours driving one way.
